Fancy A Challenge?

As we slowly crawl out of winter and emerge to greet the spring some of us might be turning our attention towards our fitness to get into shape for summer! Well, how about a challenge? The Unite Foundation are looking for a third rider to join members of the Unite London City Team to take part in the Ride London-Surrey 46 mile race. The ride is on Sunday 4th August 2019 so there’s plenty of time to get in the saddle and train as the weather gets warmer.

It’ll be ever so exciting! The ride begins at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park from which you can take in the sights of London on traffic free roads with crowds of supporters cheering you on all the way to the finish on The Mall. This would be a great event for someone who is new to cycling or cycling events and who knows? Maybe next year you’ll be entering the RideLondon-Surrey 100?!

There will be a modest fundraising minimum of £350 and you will receive a welcome pack with lots of ideas to help you plan and organise your fundraising efforts. You’ll also, once registered, receive details of how to set up your own Virgin Money Giving page, linked to The Unite Foundation page where people can sponsor you online and you can keep track of your offline fundraising. Your efforts will help us provide ‘café clubs’ for our scholarship students; chances to meet other care leaver or estranged students and share tips, support and an understanding ear.

So if you fancy a challenge for 2019, why not get in touch and sign up for the RideLondon-Surrey 46 for The Unite Foundation? You could make a real difference. Email us at info@unitefoundation.co.uk
