Building a Community at Home

Community begins at home. Several of the Foundation scholars are helping to build communities in their Unite Students homes by becoming Student Ambassadors.

Phil Francis, Unite Students Service Engagement Lead, heads up the Student Ambassador programme…

“The Student Ambassador programme originally formed in 2016. It was designed to help new students settle in, make new friends, build confidence and to help improve their employability portfolio. Originally, we had 2 Unite Foundation Scholars recruited in Liverpool and now we have over 14 across the country. The drive, passion and dedication our scholars have towards the role is next to none and it a such a pleasure to work with them all. They really make a difference for our students and continue to promote a Home for Success.”

Phil recently put together this information piece for Unite Students staff about the Student Ambassadors. Two of the featured SAs are Unite Foundation Scholars and we’re incredibly proud of them.
